A website that provides a wealth of information to explain "the end of civilization as we know it".

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

The website of the organization that "aims to disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change" -- and which in 2007 won a Nobel Peace Price for doing this. Hurrah!

Foresight Nanotech Institute

The website of the "leading think tank and public interest institute on nanotechnology".


Dr Ralph Merkle's superb guide to the really, really tiny world of future manufacturing and medicine.

Epidemic and Pandemic Alert and Response

The relevant section of the World Health Organization website that deals with information on the pending flu pandemic.

Future Generations

A website all about "humanitarian eugenics", and which "strives to leave a genuine legacy of love to future generations: good health, high intelligence, and noble character".

A fantastic website by Anup Shah that "looks into global issues that affect everyone and aims to show how most issues are inter-related".

The website of the "world's first spaceline". No, really!

D-Wave Systems

The "world's first and only source of quantum computing for commercial applications" -- or in other words a company selling computers that make use of the fundamentals of quantum mechanics!
